What’s more Canadian than ice hockey?
Hmm… can’t think of anything that would be close…
Here in Hamilton, contrary to the national stereotype about the city, we’re blessed with an abundance of natural, green areas, especially to the west. North of the Westdale community we have a broad swath of conservation lands owned by the Royal Botanical Gardens known as Cootes Paradise. And in this area Princess Point is a popular spot during the winter for skating and impromptu hockey games.
During yesterday’s nice weather I stopped by after a number of errands to watch a game and make a few photos.
Best wishes to everyone for the holidays!
